How Does Morpheus8 Work?

Morpheus8 is a “subdermal adipose remodeling device” (SARD) that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy to remodel aging tissues below the skin’s surface. Unlike other microneedling devices, Morpheus8 reaches fatty tissue deep under the skin, smoothing the fatty layer.

Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency energy through the tips of its microneedles, ensuring thorough, targeted collagen remodeling in the skin’s deeper layers. The fractional nature of the Morpheus8 device means most of the skin’s surface in the treatment area remains undamaged, reducing downtime and accelerating the healing process. Morpheus8 is made by the same company that makes FaceTite and BodyTite treatments (also available at Parker Center).

What To Expect During a Morpheus8 Treatment

Before beginning, we apply a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area and may inject a local anesthetic to further minimize discomfort during the procedure. The minimally invasive procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Immediately after your treatment, we moisturize and hydrate the skin to promote healing and nourishment. You may feel like you have a slight sunburn, but this sensation should improve quickly, as will any redness—expect your skin to be slightly pink for around a day or so. Most patients return to work the following day and can wear makeup at this point.

We typically recommend patients schedule a series of 3 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart to get the desired results.

COSMOPen Microneedling

COSMOPen is a high-speed, powered microneedling device that precisely and gently creates a non-thermal trauma just underneath the skin’s surface. This not only forms new tissue with elastin and collagen fibers but also generates new capillaries, improving blood supply. COSMOPen’s adjustable speed and depth allow for a completely customized treatment with twelve 32-gauge needles.
