Relax & Restore Balance With a Therapeutic Massage

Massage therapy can promote overall health and a sense of well being. Benefits include lowering the heart rate and blood pressure, relieving muscle tension, improving blood circulation, increasing mobility, and improving the range of motion. Following a brief consultation with one of our licensed massage therapists, a variety of massage techniques will be combined in order to achieve these results and address your specific needs.

Swedish Massage

This is a soothing form of European massage using relaxing strokes to ease tension, smooth away stress, and restore & enhance the lymphatic flow. The massage is designed to stimulate your circulation and relieve tension through gentle kneading.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is designed for people with specific tension points and is perfect for the neck, shoulder and lower back. The massage therapist uses a firm intensive pressure to loosen up tension in your deep-rooted knots, muscle adhesions and to relieve pain. This massage takes out the kinks in areas of specific trigger points, one knot at a time. To dissolve your knots and nodules as thoroughly as possible, a 90-minute session covering the whole body is highly recommended for the most effective results.

Sports & Medical Massage

Chronic aches, pains, and injuries are the focus of this therapeutic massage. Special medicinal herbal oil is used to relieve muscle tension and pain. This form of massage is designed to promote faster healing. It can also help to improve your sports performance and prevent injuries using various stretches and massage techniques. This is an excellent treatment right after a strenuous workout or a hard day on the slopes.

Shiatsu Massage

This is a Japanese form of massage designed to restore the body’s natural healing process and balance the energy or qi. Our therapists were specifically trained to use a combination of pressure points work, stroking and stretching to facilitate the circulation of vital energy (qi) throughout the body. Regular sessions of Shiatsu would result increased energy, stress reduction, and release of toxins in the body. It is highly recommended for muscle tightness and stiffness of joints.

Reflexology: Foot Massage

It is widely known in Eastern medicine that your feet are the doors to your entire body. Reflexology is a specific type of massage that heals your whole body through pressure points found exclusively on your foot. This massage will not only have you floating out of our spa, but it will also serve to re-balance the organs within your body, get rid of toxins, and improve circulation. You can request to include hands and/or a head/scalp massage in your reflexology session. Multiple sessions are recommended to relieve specific conditions.

Prenatal & Post-Partum Massage

Prenatal Massage is highly recommended after the 1st trimester (4th month and up) to relieve lower back pain, general backaches, edema, sciatica, abdominal pressure, and fatigue. This involves a gentle and nurturing massage for mothers to be. It helps to prepare women for birth with regular massage. The post-partum massage would be practical at least one month after birth to help return your body, particularly the abdominal/visceral area, to its normal shape. Several sessions are highly recommended.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

This is a special type of medical massage—using gentle and rhythmic movements—that works with the lymphatic system to remove waste materials and excess fluids that get trapped in the deeper layers of the skin (remember, our bodies are made of mostly fluids). Manual lymphatic drainage is the most effective massage for reducing swelling and boosting circulation, as well as for any post-traumatic injury or surgery. It helps speed up the healing time of injuries, and it helps treat migraines, sinusitis, and high blood pressure. Our Rapid Recovery Program at the Parker Center includes three lymphatic drainage massage sessions for cosmetic surgery patients. Learn more about lymphatic draining massage>>
