Gynecomastia Surgery Before & After Case 648

This 49 year old requested improvement in the appearance of his chest. He told Dr. Parker that his chest has been full for many years and this condition has caused him not to take his shirt off in public. The patient is 5’10” and weighs 195 pounds. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker explained that his condition was called gynecomastia or enlargement of the male chest. The fullness was due to an overabundance of fat in the breast and very amenable to liposuction. Dr. Parker corrected the patient’s condition with liposuction, removing 275 cc of fat from each breast. The patient recovered quickly afterwards and returned to work in several days, and was at the gym within 2 weeks. He is very pleased with the appearance of his now masculine chest. The patient told Dr. Parker that he was recently away on vacation and took his shirt off in public without even thinking about it, something he hadn’t done for years. He also is now able to wear clothing he would not have worn prior to surgery. In sum, the patient is delighted with his results.
