Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 969

Before & After
Case Details
This 67 year old has increasingly become bothered by the hanging skin on his upper eyelids and the puffiness of his lower lids. Dr Parker performed an upper lid and lower lid blepharoplasty first removing excess skin from the upper lids. On the lower eyelids, he removed herniated fat causing the puffiness from an incision on inside the lower eyelid called a transconjunctival blepharoplasty. Dr Parker then inserted a temporary suture in the corner of the eyelid called a lateral canthopexy to assist in the healing process. He next transferred a small amount of the removed fat to the depression in the lower eyelid called the nasojugal groove and tear trough to help create a better blending between the lower eyelid and cheek. Finally, Dr Parker removed the excess skin from the lower eyelid. The patient was pleased by the cleaner appearance of the upper eyelid as well as the more youthful appearance of the lower lids.
