Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 969

This 67 year old had increasingly become bothered by the hanging skin on his upper eyelids and the puffiness of his lower lids. To address these concerns, Dr Parker performed an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty. He excised the excess skin from the upper lids. In the lower eyelids, using a transconjunctival approach, Dr. Parker excised the herniated fat responsible for the puffiness. He also transferred a small amount of this fat to the depression at the junction between the lower eyelid and cheek to help create better blending in this area. Finally, Dr Parker excised the excess skin from the lower eyelid and inserted a lateral canthopexy suture to optimize healing. The patient was pleased by the cleaner appearance of the upper eyelid as well as the more youthful appearance of the lower lids.
