This 26 year old complained about her large, crooked nose, the bump on her bridge, and persistent breathing problems. She said she was happy with the tip of her nose. Dr. Parker performed a closed rhinoplasty to improve the appearance of her nose and also addressed the causes of her breathing obstruction. During surgery, Dr. Parker did the following:
1. Shaved down the excess bone and cartilage to correct the bump on her nasal bridge.
2. Performed infractures to appropriately narrow the nasal bones.
3. Removed the deviated portion of the septum and reduced the size of the inferior turbinates to open up the patient’s airways and correct her breathing difficulties.
After surgery, the patient recovered quickly and is very happy with her results. She says her nose looks natural, smaller and in better proportion with her facial features. She is pleased the bump is gone, her nose appears straight, and her breathing is great.
