All About BodyTite: Your Key to Smooth, Toned Summer Skin

With summer right around the corner, many men and women are looking for ways to get swimsuit-ready. However, some people feel uncomfortable trying to relax by the water when they have loose, wrinkled skin along their legs or midsection. BodyTite is the go-to treatment for Paramus and northern New Jersey patients who want to rejuvenate their bodies and tighten loose skin. If you want to reclaim toned, youthful skin, here’s what you need to know about BodyTite.

How is BodyTite performed?

BodyTite uses the power of radiofrequency (RF) technology to melt fat and tighten skin. At the beginning of treatment, the target area is numbed with an anesthetic before the handheld applicator is applied. The applicator has a long, thin probe that is gently inserted under the skin while an external transmitter runs along the top. RF energy is emitted between the internal probe and the external transmitter, allowing precise heating of the tissues in between.

As the RF energy warms the tissues, fat is melted and the skin begins to contract. This prompts the body to start producing more collagen, giving a youthful “bounce” to the skin.

What areas does treatment work best on?

BodyTite can be used on nearly any larger area of the body that has loose, saggy skin. Popular spots include the:

  • Abdomen
  • Arms
  • Chest
  • Back
  • Hips
  • Knees
  • Thighs

BodyTite is not appropriate for the face and neck, however. If you have loose skin in these areas, FaceTite or AccuTite would be a better option. They have smaller devices that work well on delicate spots like the face.

How much does BodyTite cost?

At our Paramus practice, the price of BodyTite is typically $5000 to $9350. The final cost depends on the number of areas you’re having treated. During your one-on-one consultation, we will give you a customized quote outlining the price you can expect.

How long does it take to heal after treatment?

As a minimally invasive procedure, recovery after BodyTite is relatively quick and painless. Patients can walk and drive the same day as surgery and return to work 1 to 3 days after treatment. Slight swelling and bruising are common side effects that fade within the first week. Our practice will give you a compression garment that adds gentle pressure and reduces unwanted swelling.

Are BodyTite results permanent?

Results from BodyTite should last as long as you maintain your weight and lead a healthy lifestyle. Exercise consistently and eat nutritious foods to enjoy your fresh, toned look for years to come.
