Eyelid Surgery Before & After Case 970

This 54 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient. He asked Dr Parker to improve the puffiness and tired appearance of his lower eyelids, which has worsened in recent years. Using hidden incisions on the inside of the patient’s lower eyelids, Dr. Parker performed a transconjunctival blepharoplasty, removing the herniated lower lid fat causing the puffiness. He then transferred a small amount of this fat to the areas of depression in the lower eyelids, called the nasojugal grooves, for better blending from the lower eyelid into the cheek. Dr Parker next inserted a lateral canthopexy suture to suspend the lower eyelids during the healing process and removed an appropriate amount of excess skin to additionally help smooth the appearance of the lower eyelids. The patient is extremely pleased with the natural, rejuvenated, more youthful appearance of his lower eyelids.
