Rhinoplasty Before & After Case 1599

This 41 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, requested improvement in the appearance of her nose which has bothered her for years. She is most bothered by her dorsal hump and bulbous tip which droops with smiling. Dr. Parker reviewed these concerns with the patient during her initial consultation and discussed an open rhinoplasty to address them. Computer imaging was then used to show the patient what her nose should look like after surgery. The patient liked everything she heard and saw. She went ahead with surgery several weeks later. At surgery, Dr. Parker performed an open rhinoplasty where he reduced the patient’s bony cartilaginous hump, performed infractures to narrow the nasal bones, excised the muscles which pull the tip down with smiling and refined the size and shape of her bulbous nasal tip. The patient said her recovery from surgery was rapid and painless. She loves the natural-looking, improved appearance of her nose.
