Rhinoplasty Before & After Case 1342

This 38 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient requesting improvement of her nose. Specifically, she asked to have her dorsal hump reduced and bulbous tip more refined. She made clear that she wanted the tip conservatively shaped and her profile to be straight without any aquilinity. Dr. Parker discussed performing an open rhinoplasty to address these concerns and the procedure was subsequently performed. At surgery, he performed a component reduction of the patient’s bony cartilaginous hump, rounding the bony edges with a rasp, avoiding infractures. He performed an open tiplasty to refine the patient’s bulbous tip. The patient was very pleased with the relative ease of her recovery as well as the nicely improved, but natural appearance of her nose.
