Rhinoplasty Before & After Case 1254

This 41 year old requested that Dr. Parker improve the appearance of her nose following its collapse after cocaine use. The patient stopped using cocaine two years earlier and has vowed not to return. She asked Dr. Parker to fix her saddle nose deformity and lift her nasal tip into better position. Dr. Parker carefully detailed the steps needed to accomplish this complex reconstruction of the nose. The patient agreed and surgery was subsequently performed. Using an open approach, Dr. Parker re-built an “L strut” to support the nose using alloplastic rib cartilage, since septal cartilage was not available. He then rebuilt the nasal tip with lateral crural strut grafts, again using alloplastic rib cartilage. The patient was pleased with the ease of her recovery and loves the appearance of her nose.
