This 54 year old was concerned about the progressive laxity of her lower face, loss of jawline definition and fullness in her neck. Dr Parker discussed treatment options with her. He explained a relatively new technology using radiofrequency energy called Facetite and Moprheus 8 could help improve the contour in these areas without the incisions of a face and/ or neck lift procedure. A probe emitting radiofrequency energy is inserted to heat up the target tissues in between the skin and underlying muscles to a defined temperature. This then stimulates new collagen formation over the ensuing 3-6 months, tightening the treated skin and underlying soft tissues. Under local anesthesia only, Dr Parker performed this procedure on the patient's lower face, jawline and upper neck. The patient did not experience any pain during or following the procedure, had very little bruising and swelling afterwards. She was back to work in 2 days.
