Eyelid Lift Before & After Case 1016

This 73 year old presented to Dr Parker with concerns about the worsening crepiness of her lower eyelid skin. She had undergone a blepharoplasty many years ago as well as laser resurfacing. Dr Parker discussed the crepiness of her skin and pointed out the hollowing of her lower eyelids as well. He reviewed options with the patient and recommended the following: fat injections to help improve the hollowing of her lower eyelids  and nanofat microneedling to help build up collagen in the skin to improve its crepiness. The patient was in agreement with this plan. Several weeks later, under local anesthesia, Dr Parker harvested fat from the patient's inner thighs and purified the fat. He then carefully injected this fat beneath the obicularis oculi muscle on the lower eyelids to provide volume to the hollow lower eyelids, but minimize the risk of lumpiness. He then emulsified the remaining fat converting it to nanofat with a high concentration of stem cells. This was topically applied to the lower eyelid skin after microneedling of the area was performed. The patient recovered quickly afterwards. She loves the appearance of her lower eyelids and has been told by friends, "you never seem to age".
