Cheek/Chin Implants Before & After Case 155

Before & After
Case Details
This 25 year old Hispanic patient, a former basketball player requested improvement in the appearance of her nose. She had broken her nose several times playing basketball . Specifically, she was bothered by her dorsal hump, the crooked appearance of her nose and the bulbous tip. Dr. Parker and the patient discussed open rhinoplasty as a means to correct these issues and improve the appearance of her nose. He also suggested inserting a chin implant to achieve better facial balance. Computer imaging was helpful to give the patient an idea of what she should look like after surgery. An open rhinoplasty was performed which included hump reduction, infractures of the nasal bones to re position them, an open tiplasty to create a more delicate tip and correction of the patient’s crooked nose. An extended anatomic chin implant was inserted through a submental incision as well. The patient experienced no pain with this surgery. She is happy with the improved appearance of her nose and the better facial balance provided by the chin implant.
