Correction of Tubular Breasts Before & After Case 904

This 36 year old patient was referred by her mother, also a patient of Dr. Parker’s. She asked him to improve the appearance of her breasts which have always bothered her. Dr. Parker explained that she has what are known as tuberous breasts. He continued that the breasts are constricted by fibrous bands which cause the breast tissue and areola to herniate forward with a high, tight inframammary fold. He described a surgical plan to improve the appearance of her breasts; the patient indicated she liked what he said and wished to proceed. The patient requested 275 cc silicone implants be used during her Sizing Session. At surgery, Dr. Parker reduced the size of the areolas, released the constricting bands to lower the inframammary folds and inserted breast implants into a dual plane location to provide better shape to the breasts. The patient recovered quickly after her procedure with very little pain. She loves the natural appearance of her breasts and feels much more self-confident.
