Breast Implant Removal Before & After Case 1197

This 33 year old had 400 cc saline implants inserted into a partial submuscular location using inframammary incisions 10 years ago by another plastic surgeon. Recently, she has developed several ill defined symptoms which made her feel had Breast Implant Illness. Her medical work up and markers were negative. The patient requested Dr. Parker to remove her implants during her consultation. Dr. Parker discussed all options with her and her husband. After this discussion, they decided to have the implants and capsules removed as well as fat harvested from her abdomen injected into the breasts to try to help maintain some degree of breast fullness. The patient is 5’7” tall and weighs 155 pounds. Using the patient’s heal inframammary scars, Dr. Parker removed her implants and the surrounding capsules. He then harvested fat from the abdomen, purified it and injected 100 cc of fat into each breast. The patient reported recovering quickly with little pain. She is pleased with the appearance of her breasts and thinks some of the symptoms she was experiencing have improved.
