This 57 year old requested that Dr. Parker rejuvenate her large, sagging breasts and the fullness of her abdomen. She is an avid runner and both the hanging skin on her abdomen and pendulous DD breasts adversely affect her ability to do this as she would like. The patient had given birth 18 years earlier via a C section. She is 5’1″ and weighs 138 pounds. During the patient’s initial consultation with Dr. Parker, he recommended a vertical breast reduction and lift along with a lipoabdominoplasty and SAFE liposuction of her hips. At surgery, Dr. Parker removed 95 grams of breast tissue from the right side and 175 grams of tissue from the larger left side, then lifted them into a more youthful position with a “lollipop” incision. He removed 725 cc of fat from each of the patient’s hips with SAFE liposuction. He removed 825 cc of fat from the abdomen with SAFE liposuction as part of the lipoabdominoplasty procedure, then tightened the underlying rectus muscles and removed the excess skin. The patient recovered quickly, which surprised her given the amount of surgery she had performed at one operation. She is delighted with her results. Not only does she look good, but she is now able to wear form fitting tops and the clothing styles she likes. Seven months after surgery, she wore a bikini on family vacation–the first time she had done this since age 18. The patient is able to run more freely and feels very good about herself. Her only regret–”I wish I had done the surgery sooner”.
