Meet Our Nurse Coordinator and Injector, Angela Parisi, RN
Nurse Injector at the Parker Center in New Jersey
Angela Parisi, RN, has been an integral member of the Parker Center since 1992, caring for our patients before, during, and after their surgeries. As OR nurse and nurse coordinator for the last 28 years, Angela has become well respected among our patients. She is a knowledgeable and compassionate partner in the plastic surgery process. Her commitment to providing the best surgical experience possible is observed by all. As nurse injector, Angela combines her thorough knowledge of facial anatomy, caring nature, and clinical training and expertise in cosmetic injections to achieve beautiful non-surgical results for our patients in a safe, comfortable setting.
Angela shares Dr. Parker’s strong belief that cosmetic treatments should produce natural-appearing results:
“Our goal at the Parker Center is for all of our patients to look very natural. We don’t want anyone to know that our patients have had anything done, whether it’s surgery or injectables. Our patients often get compliments on how wonderful they look, but their friends and family, if not told, usually can’t figure out what was done.”—Angela Parisi, RN
Working with Dr. Parker over the years, Angela has complemented her nursing skills by attending meetings as well as a number of courses on injectables sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). She also completed an intensive course, sponsored by ASAPS, in which experts in the field trained qualified nurses how to safely and effectively inject neurotoxins (such as Botox) as well as a variety of fillers. She is also Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified.
Why Patients Choose Injectable Treatment with Angela
Facial fillers and neurotoxins, often grouped together as “injectables,” offer immediate gratification to our patients without the recovery involved with surgery. Many people are just not ready to take the plunge into surgery, and injectables allow patients to get that “quick fix.” In addition, these treatments can often delay the need for surgery by a few years.
The feedback from our patients about their experience with Angela’s injections has been phenomenal. During her training sessions as well, Angela’s mentors praised her for demonstrating a good clinical eye for how to achieve a patient’s goals, excellent judgment, and a “soft touch” in performing neurotoxin and filler injections. Patients have echoed these comments time and again, returning for repeat treatment at appropriate time intervals, as well as referring friends and family to Angela. Moreover, as a nurse injector, Angela’s fees for injections are less expensive than when these are performed by a physician.
Angela’s Dedication to Her Patients
Throughout her 21 years at the Parker Center, Angela has enjoyed working closely with her patients, many of whom have come to know her as a trusted confidant.
“I spend a lot of time with our patients. As a nurse, I want to nurture and educate. I need to hear what it is that my patients would like and manage their expectations. When their needs are met, it translates into big changes in the way patients feel about their appearance. I love what I do and it is great feeling to come to work every day and make a positive difference in someone’s life.”—Angela Parisi, RN
