Male Breast Reduction Before & After Case 1592

This 43 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, lost 110 pounds after gastric sleeve surgery several years ago. Dr. Parker performed his version of an extended lipoabdominoplasty, also known as a Parker Tummy Tuck. The patient was very happy with those results (case #1525). He returned a year later requesting a reduction in the fullness of his breasts and axillae (area under the armpit).  After examining the patient, Dr. Parker explained that the significant laxity of his skin from the weight loss would require a breast lift in order to improve the appearance of his breasts and axillae. He also explained the scarring associated with this procedure—the patient said he understood and accepted that. At surgery, Dr Parker excised the excess breast and axillary skin, breast tissue and fat. He then transferred the nipple areolar complexes as full thickness skin grafts to their natural position. The patient recovered quickly after surgery and is very happy with the appearance of his chest and axillae. He says his nipple areolar complexes continue to re-pigment six months after his most recent surgery.
