This 22 year old, referre to Dr. Parker by another patient, requested improvement in the appearance of her right ear which has not changed over time. She would like it set back to match the left more closely and the bump on the side of the ear removed as well. At surgery, using inconspicuous an incision behind the right ear, he created an anti-helical fold and set the right ear back with sutures giving this ear a normal shape and appearance to match the left ear more closely. At the same time, he excised the extra cartilage called a “Darwin’s tubercle”. The patient was happy with the ease of her recovery. She now loves the appearance of her right ear and the very good match it provides with the left ear.
