Breast Implant Revision Before & After Case 1615

Before & After
Case Details
This 58 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, noticed a change in appearance of her left breast over the past 6 months. She reported a recent ultrasound revealed both breast implants had intra-capsular ruptures. The patient previously had 275 cc silicone implants inserted through inframammary incisions in dual plane pockets 16 years ago and wished to remain the same size. After examining the patient, Dr. Parker explained that, in addition to the ruptured implants, she had formed a capsular contracture (a hardening of the lining around the implant) of her left breast causing the pain she was experiencing. At surgery, Dr. Parker removed both ruptured implants and capsules, then created neo-subpectoral pockets which allowed him to place the new 275 cc implants in newly created dual plane pockets. The patient was pleased with her quick recovery and is very happy with her soft breasts and inconspicuous scars.
