Upper Arm Rejuvenation Before & After Case 1395

This 60 year old was referred to Dr. Parker by another patient after losing over 100 pounds. She requested him to make her arms and axillae (areas directly under the armpits) thinner. During the patient’s consultation, Dr. Parker discussed options with her and she elected an extended traditional brachioplasty, or full arm lift, including removal of excess arm and axillary skin. The patient wanted to perform this surgery prior to her left shoulder replacement and this approach was okay with her orthopedic surgeon. At surgery several weeks later, Dr. Parker excised the patient’s hanging arm and axillary skin, then carefully closed the incisions with multiple layers of sutures. The patient was pleased with her rapid recovery. She loves the much-improved appearance of her arms and axillary areas.
