The Aspen Treatment: A Non-Invasive Way to Treat Capsular Contracture

Parker Center for Plastic Surgery

A small percentage of women who have undergone breast augmentation surgery may notice a hardening of the implant that can cause pain and shape distortion known as “capsular contracture”. Capsular contracture is a condition characterized by the hardening of the lining that naturally forms around every breast implant. The lining, or “capsule,” is the body’s natural reaction to the implant, which the body regards as a foreign substance. Silicone is used for breast implants and other medical devices because it is an inert material. Patients in whom this lining hardens and contracts, can experience pain, firmness of the breast, and distortion in the shape and position of the implant.

Traditionally, plastic surgeons have had to perform another surgery in order to address capsular contracture. However, a new form of treatment, known as the Aspen Ultrasound System, is available at the Parker Center for Plastic Surgery. We use this non-invasive approach to correct capsular contracture in over 80% of our patients treated. The Aspen Ultrasound System Treatment is much less expensive, carries none of the risks of surgery, and does not require a lengthy recovery time. Best of all, it is painless. This form of treatment uses ultrasound therapy in combination with a special type of massage to soften the hardened capsule.

The Parker Center for Plastic Surgery is the only regional provider trained and licensed to treat capsular contracture with the Aspen Ultrasound System. Take this quiz and see if you may be experiencing capsular contract or contact the Parker Center for more information on how we can help.

I have some cc in one side. Not bad but would like to correct. What is the charge for Aspen Ultrasound System? I’m in CO, so not convenient but for the right price I could visit.

I had my second breast augmentation done November 2018 due to bilateral capsular contracture‘s. It’s been about a month and a half and I can feel contractures starting to develop once again. I would like information about the Aspen rehab you do capsular contractures. I live in Sheridan Wyoming. I would like to know the cost and how many sessions it usually takes. What is your success rate? Are there any doctors in my area that use this procedure To correct capsular contractures? I will be headed to Florida January 22, 2019 to attend my daughters wedding on February 2, 2019. Are there any doctors in the Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton area that do this procedure? I look forward to your reply! I want to try to correct this before the contractors become rockhard once again .
