Arm Lift in New Jersey - Parker Center for Plastic Surgery

Parker Center in Paramus, New Jersey

Aging and weight fluctuation may cause excess fat and/or sagging skin to occur in the upper arms. Liposuction will help most patients by removing fat and achieving mild skin tightening. One tiny incision is hidden in the armpit area and another by the elbow. Patients with severely drooping skin will need to have that skin surgically excised. This procedure is called a brachioplasty. The final incision runs on the posterior aspect of the upper arm from elbow to armpit. Though the scar will fade in the first year, it is permanent.

Arm Lift Surgery

Upper Arm Lift can be combined with other procedures of the face and body. If upper arm rejuvenation procedures are performed alone, they are performed as an outpatient with intravenous sedation and local anesthesia. The patients are discharged within one hour and are ambulatory that day. All sutures dissolve. The pain is minimal. Patients may return to sedentary work within several days and exercise in approximately two weeks.
