Rhinoplasty & Chin Implant Patient 20

This 56 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, was concerned about the over projection of her nose. This family trait has bothered her for many years. During her initial meeting with Dr. Parker, he discussed what could be done to make her nose appear smaller. Included in his recommendations was inserting a chin implant to achieve better facial balance and proportionally, make the nose appear smaller. An open rhinoplasty was performed by Dr. Parker which included a takedown of the patient’s dorsal hump, infractures to appropriately narrow the dorsum, removal of excessive cartilage from the tip along with a setback and elevation of the tip cartilage. A chin implant was inserted through a submental incision for better facial balance. The patient’s recovery was quick and uneventful. She is very happy with the more normal appearance of her nose as well as her improved facial balance.
