This 24 year old patient had previously undergone breast surgery by another plastic surgeon in an effort to correct her asymmetric breasts. The patient is 5 feet tall and weighs 131 pounds. The patient, referred to Dr. Parker by another patient, requested better symmetry between her breasts and areolas. Using the existing peri-areolar scar on the left side, Dr. Parker removed the subglandular implant and scar tissue associated with it. He then inserted a new 325 cc silicone implant into a partial submuscular pocket to better fill out the lower portion of the breast and create a nicer shape to it. In doing so, he re-created the lost infra-mammary fold, raising to the same level as on the other side. In the right breast, he put a 250 cc silicone implant in a partial subpectoral position and reduced the size of the areola to match more closely the left areola. The patient recovered very quickly from the procedure and was quite happy with the improved, more symmetric appearance of her breasts.
