Top Surgical Procedures
Rhinoplasty – 113,836 in 2012
Nose reshaping surgery can restore harmony to the face as well as correct any structural issues that cause breathing difficulties. It is one of the top cosmetic surgeries performed in the United States. Dr. Parker performs both “open” and “closed” rhinoplasties; an open rhinoplasty has inconspicuous incisions underneath the tip of the nose, while a closed rhinoplasty is performed from within the nose. During your consultation with Dr. Parker to determine the best surgical approach, you will be able to view computer simulations of the potential result.
Blepharoplasty – 129,920 in 2012
Because the eyes are the focus of the face, eyelid surgery is popular with both men and women. Both upper and lower lids can be rejuvenated, resulting in a refreshed look that addresses concerns such as sagging eyelid skin or baggy eyes. For a more complete rejuvenation, an upper eyelid lift can be combined with a brow lift and/or a facelift. The recovery time for the procedure is relatively short, with patients returning to normal activities within a week or two.
Facelift – 107,608 in 2012
At the Parker Center, we focus on a natural-looking appearance after a facelift procedure, which tightens the skin, eliminates sagging tissue around the lips and nose, lifts the jowls, and contours the jaw line. Our own Rapid Recovery program combines therapies and procedures before, during, and after surgery to reduce swelling and minimize recovery time.
Top Non-Surgical Procedures
Botox® – 2,915,865 in 2012
Millions of people chose to renew their faces with Botox® or Dysport® last year. Botox® and Dysport® contain a purified neurotoxin that temporarily allows facial muscles to relax by blocking the nerve impulses to them. It is commonly used on wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes (worry lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet), but recently Botox® has also been used as a method of facial reshaping called a “chemical brow lift.” Dr. Parker personally performs the injections in just a few minutes and the results become apparent within a few days.
Wrinkle fillers – 1,497,810 in 2012
Dermal fillers are injected to fill skin folds, wrinkles, and depressions in the face and offer a refreshed appearance without the downtime of surgery. We use a variety of products at the Parker Center to address different issues on the face: Juvederm Ultra®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®. Some of these treatments can last up to a year. Fat injections can provide more long-lasting results, as the body’s own fat is removed through liposuction, purified, and injected in the face to provide volume.
