New Jersey Brow Lift – Surgery Procedure and Recovery

An aging forehead, sagging brows and deep creases can make a person appear tired or angry. The newer techniques of endoscopic brow lift or transpalpebral brow lift utilize limited incisions to improve eyebrow position, “hooding “ of upper eyelid skin as well as forehead wrinkles and scowl lines. A transpalpebral brow lift is performed through an existing upper lid blepharoplasty incision—it is used to correct mild cases of brow ptosis or drooping of the eyebrow. Endoscopic brow lift employs 3 small incisions hidden within the anterior scalp hair—it is used for more advanced cases of brow ptosis. Bicoronal brow lift and pre hairline incision brow lift are performed infrequently today because they result in longer and more visible scarring. All brow lift procedures are frequently performed in conjunction with a facelift or blepharoplasty to add balance to facial rejuvenation.
New Jersey Brow Lift Surgery and Recovery
An endoscopic brow lift takes 45 minutes and is performed under general anesthesia. Patients are usually discharged an hour after completing surgery. There is usually very little postoperative pain. Patients can shower and shampoo their hair two days after surgery. Sutures and clips are removed within ten days. Swelling and discoloration subside within 10 to 14 days. Camouflage make-up may be applied after one week. Patients may return to normal activities in seven to ten days and exercise in two weeks.

There is usually very little postoperative pain. Patients can shower and shampoo their hair one day after surgery. Sutures are removed within six days. Swelling and discoloration subside within 7 to 10 days. Camouflage make-up may be applied after one week. Patients may return to normal activities in seven to ten days and exercise in two weeks.
