Joanne, 58 year old mother of two, decided it was time to get rid of her 36DDs. She researched on the Web and even though The Parker Center was not all that close to her, she decided it was worth the drive for New Jersey plastic surgeon, Dr. Parker to evaluate her situation.

“My breasts have always bothered me. I am very petite so imagine trying to buy clothes with 36DDs,” says Joanne. “I could never wear the tops I wanted to.”

Recently the New York Times reported on the growing trend of men and women over 65 having plastic surgery.  While this trend is expected to continue growing, currently plastic surgeons in NJ and across the nation performed over 84,000 surgical cosmetic procedures on seniors in 2010.

Diane is a 49-year old housewife and mother of four who recently lost over 130 lbs. with gastric bypass surgery and hard work in the gym. As a result of such dramatic weight loss, Diane was left with a large amount of drooping, excess skin.

“I was mostly concerned about my abdomen and my backside. I had so much excess skin that my backside looked like a shar-pei, you know the little dog with all the rolls & wrinkles. After my weight loss, I knew my body needed a lot of work,” explained Diane.

Inverted nipples are relatively common and can be both embarrassing and unsightly. They are caused by shortened or scarred breast tissue ducts that pull the nipple inward. Michelle is a married, 35-year old working mom to an 8 year old. In May of this year she finally had the long-desired breast augmentation. New Jersey resident, Michelle had wanted to have breast surgery since she was in her early 20’s but never found the right doctor.

“I researched doctors and websites for years but I never found one where I liked the before and after photos. The after photos always looked weird and strangely unnatural, said Michelle.

“I’ve had four children all by cesarean sections. From all the pregnancies and surgeries, I had still had a pooch for a belly and my breasts were sagging and I really wanted to have something done,” said Lisa.

While considering a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation, Sandra a 46 year old mother of three, decided to get herself in shape.  She lost 25 pounds but was still feeling uncomfortable with her body, so Sandra decided to go ahead and have a tummy tuck.

New Jersey is home to many plastic surgeons, and Sandra saw three other doctors for consultations but chose The Parker Center for several reasons.  First, she was thrilled that the surgery could be done on the premises; she didn’t want to be in a hospital. At 27 and two kids later, Suzanne decided it was time to do something about her small, unusually shaped breasts and overly large areolas. Tuberous breasts derive their name from the tuber, an elongated shaped potato. They have also are called tubular breasts because of their unusual tube-like projection from the chest instead of a rounded projection. While they discussed her New Jersey breast lift, he recommended that she would need a reduction to get the results she wanted. When Gianny mentioned the fat under her chin and possible liposuction to correct it, he told her to give it time and that it should go away with diet and exercise.
“He was very honest about what I did and did not need and I appreciated that,” she says. “Another surgeon might have just gone ahead and done the liposuction too.”
While there were some differences in their experiences because they had different procedures, Gianny’s New Jersey breast lift and reduction met and exceeded her expectations. “I knew it was going to look good, but not this good!”
And she is passing her story along to others as well. Her mom will be visiting Dr. Parker in the future to have some work done as well.
“Dr. Parker is awesome,” she says. “The whole experience was wonderful!”

Six years after the birth of her last child, Darlene finally acknowledged that her breasts were not going to come back, at least not without some help.

“The girls had left the party,” she jokes. “And, I used to have great boobs too!”
