Dr. Paul M. Parker is committed to bringing his New Jersey breast augmentation patients the latest and most innovative surgical advances. Use of the Keller Funnel™¸ a new insertion device for silicone breast implants, has many advantages over the traditional digital (finger) insertion.

Inspired by a pastry bag, the Keller Funnel™ was introduced recently by a plastic surgeon in Florida. The device, made of nylon, is a cone shaped sleeve with a slick interior surface that allows the surgeon to propel a silicone breast implant into place without the implant ever touching the skin or surgeon’s gloves. This “no-touch” technique is thought to reduce the potential for infection and capsular contracture.

Recently, Dr. Paul M. Parker and the Parker Center for Plastic Surgery of Paramus, NJ began using the new Mentor Volume Sizing System in all of their breast augmentation Sizing Sessions. This new system is designed to give patients a more accurate representation of their surgical result.

“Mentor, an implant manufacturer, has done something really quite unique in that they’ve created an 18-piece set containing sizers and gap fillers that actually resemble a natural breast as opposed to an implant. These sizers are designed to fit over your breast and give a more accurate representation of how a specific implant size will look,” explained New Jersey plastic surgeon, Dr. Parker.

Tara is a 27-year-old single mom who has wanted to have larger breasts for the past few years. Feeling cheated because all the women in her family are large breasted, Tara wanted to feel more womanly and less like a teenage girl. In New Jersey, breast augmentation is a popular procedure among many women.

“My grandmother kept telling me there was still time for me to develop a chest. But at 27, and even after having a baby, I still felt like I had nothing. I was tired of it and ready to make a change,” said Tara.

Breast augmentation is now the number one plastic surgery procedure performed by plastic surgeons in NJ and in the United States. Today’s implants come in a multitude of sizes and shapes to give every woman the bust line they’ve always wanted.

Dr. Parker does a large number of New Jersey breast augmentation surgeries every year with women who are looking for all different types of results. Some women start out with little to no breast tissue and just want to enough to fill out a bra, others have a moderate or large amount but yearn for a larger, fuller bust line.

Nicole, 21, is a full time student and restaurant worker who was tired of her “A” cup breasts. After saving money for the past year, Nicole was ready to go ahead and have the breast augmentation surgery she always wanted.

“I really have wanted to do this for the past few years. The timing was just right. I’d saved my money all year, and I was on a school break. I was really ready. I didn’t want to wait any longer,” explained Nicole.

Monica is a young mom who works full-time and is a full-time college student.  Monica adores her boys but having two children in three years had left her feeling that her body would never recover.  Prior to her pregnancies, Monica was very happy with her breasts.  Post pregnancy, her breasts were smaller and deflated.  Also the two pregnancies had left Monica with an umbilical hernia that made her perpetually look three months pregnant.

Diane is a 49-year old housewife and mother of four who recently lost over 130 lbs. with gastric bypass surgery and hard work in the gym. As a result of such dramatic weight loss, Diane was left with a large amount of drooping, excess skin.

“I was mostly concerned about my abdomen and my backside. I had so much excess skin that my backside looked like a shar-pei, you know the little dog with all the rolls & wrinkles. After my weight loss, I knew my body needed a lot of work,” explained Diane.

Since she was a teenager, Shelby always wanted to have bigger breasts.  As an avid exerciser, she is very fit and always felt something was missing with her figure.  Never having had surgery, Shelby had only recently decided that a breast augmentation was something she should consider.

“I thought that only celebrities had breast augmentation, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve met more and more everyday people, my age that have had it done.  And they look great!  It’s not like you look at them and the first thing you think is boob job.  They look really natural.  That’s what I wanted,” explained Shelby.

Everyday for the past five years, Meghan, 23 was in pain on her left side and had trouble raising her left arm completely. Meghan suffered from capsular contraction from breast augmentation surgery she had five years previously. This is a hardening of the lining around the implant.
