One of the newest tools on the market is called Isolaz.  Isolaz is an IPL machine with four heads to choose from depending upon the condition I am treating.  The head of the machine is a vacuum system. None of the other laser machines have anything like this. It grabs skin and doesn’t permit the light to get out so it stays very concentrated in that area. It’s beyond good. My interest in becoming an aesthetician was born out of my own personal battle with acne. My earliest recollection of skin problems started in 6th grade when I felt like I was treating one pimple for an entire year. All through high school and college I could never depend upon my skin to stay clear for any important events. For a while my skin would be clear with occasional hormonal outbreaks. I went for regular facials and IPL treatments thinking they would calm down whatever was triggering the acne. Topical acne medication seemed to help, but last summer my skin got so bad that nothing I tried got it under control.
