This 37 year old, referred by a friend, requested improvement of the fullness in her abdomen and hips. She is 5′6″ tall and weighs 151 pounds. Dr Parker performed and abdominoplasty and liposuction of the patient’s hips and lateral thighs. She recovered quickly from her procedure and loves her new torso.
The goal of an abdominoplasty is to flatten the abdomen. The extent of the procedure will vary depending on the severity of the problem. In addition to the removal of excess fat, there is frequently the need to remove excess skin, stretch marks and tighten loose abdominal muscles (known as the rectus abdominis or “abs”).
