Mini-Lipoabdominoplasty Patient 21
This 32 year old, referred to Dr Parker by a co-worker, complained of the loss of fullness in her breasts and persistent fullness in her abdomen after the birth of several children. The patient is 5′3″ tall and weighs 130 pounds. A nurse, the patient elected to have a mini lipoabdominoplasty in order to avoid a peri umbilical scar. This was performed by Dr Parker along with a breast augmentation, inserting 275cc silicone gel implants through
infra mammary incisions into a partial submuscular location. The patient recovered quickly and is very pleased with her appearance. She also comments how much better clothes now fit her. She has since referred her husband to Dr Parker for surgery.
Lipoabdominoplasty New Jersey
Lipoabdominoplasty is a relatively new procedure that combines aggressive liposuction of the abdomen with many of the principles of a Classic or Traditional Abdominoplasty. The Lipoabdominoplasty procedure begins with liposuction of the entire abdomen. The skin below the umbilicus is excised similar to a classic abdominoplasty, although lymphatic vessels are preserved to minimize postoperative swelling and promote a more rapid recovery from surgery. Next, limited undermining of the upper abdominal skin flap is performed, preserving many blood vessels and nerves to the abdominal wall. The rectus muscles are then plicated. Finally, the upper abdominal flap is advanced and closed with multiple layers of dissolvable sutures that minimize scar tension and postoperative scar spreading.
