Lipoabdominoplasty Patient 20
This 32 year old, referred to Dr. Parker by her husband, requested help with the fullness of her abdomen and loss of volume in her breasts. She had given birth to three children, and noted a progressive worsening of these problems after each pregnancy. The patient is 5′4″ tall and weighs 132 pounds. Dr. Parker rejuvenated the patient’s breasts with 350cc silicone implants placed in a partial submuscular position through an inframammary incision. He sculpted the patient’s torso with a lipoabdominoplasty as well as VASER ultrasonic liposuction of her hips (removing 250cc fat from the right hip and 300cc from the left) and outer thighs (removing 375cc from each side). The patient enjoyed a quick recovery. She and her husband are very happy with her more youthful figure.
Lipoabdominoplasty New Jersey
Lipoabdominoplasty is a relatively new procedure that combines aggressive liposuction of the abdomen with many of the principles of a Classic or Traditional Abdominoplasty. The Lipoabdominoplasty procedure begins with liposuction of the entire abdomen. The skin below the umbilicus is excised similar to a classic abdominoplasty, although lymphatic vessels are preserved to minimize postoperative swelling and promote a more rapid recovery from surgery. Next, limited undermining of the upper abdominal skin flap is performed, preserving many blood vessels and nerves to the abdominal wall. The rectus muscles are then plicated. Finally, the upper abdominal flap is advanced and closed with multiple layers of dissolvable sutures that minimize scar tension and postoperative scar spreading.
