Lipoabdominoplasty Patient 18
This 45 year old asked Dr. Parker to improve the appearance of her sagging breasts and abdomen. She has given birth to 4 children, most recently triplets several years ago. The patient has returned to within 5 pounds of her pre-pregnancy weight. She is 5′6″ tall and weighs 140 pounds. After reviewing several options with the patient, Dr. Parker performed the following procedures during one operation: an augmentation-vertical mastopexy, inserting 300cc silicone gel implants in a partial submuscular pocket, VASER ultrasonic liposuction of the hips (300cc of fat were removed from each side) and a lipoabdominoplasty. The patient healed quickly after the procedure. She is pleased with her rejuvenated breasts and torso.
Lipoabdominoplasty New Jersey
Lipoabdominoplasty is a relatively new procedure that combines aggressive liposuction of the abdomen with many of the principles of a Classic or Traditional Abdominoplasty. The Lipoabdominoplasty procedure begins with liposuction of the entire abdomen. The skin below the umbilicus is excised similar to a classic abdominoplasty, although lymphatic vessels are preserved to minimize postoperative swelling and promote a more rapid recovery from surgery. Next, limited undermining of the upper abdominal skin flap is performed, preserving many blood vessels and nerves to the abdominal wall. The rectus muscles are then plicated. Finally, the upper abdominal flap is advanced and closed with multiple layers of dissolvable sutures that minimize scar tension and postoperative scar spreading.
