Dr. Bruce Freund
Dr. Bruce G. Freund received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry and has since dedicated his career to practicing, teaching and refining techniques in both cosmetic and restorative procedures. He is a frequent media guest and has earned a place among "America's Top Dentists" in survey taken by the Consumer' Research Council of America.
So how does an accomplished Doctor of Dentistry become an "injectables specialist?" In a word - his patients. Eager to take advantage of his reputation for delivering injections painlessly, they asked that he address their Botox and filler needs. At first he dismissed their requests, but eventually Dr. Freund yielded and took the necessary steps to become credentialed. "I am so glad I listened to my patients. They are responsible for launching me into a very satisfying set of circumstances. Every aspect of injectables appeals to both my sense of artistry and knowledge of facial anatomy."
Today, Dr. Freund enjoys not only a thriving injectables practice, but spends time training other practitioners at the request of the companies which produce the injectables. "I have studied the anatomy of the face very carefully, both as a dentist and as a passionate injector of Botox and fillers. It's obviously important to know the relationship of the muscles, arteries, nerves and veins to the overlying skin. Also, understanding the nuances associated with Botox and fillers can make the difference between an average result and an excellent result."
At the Parker Center, Dr. Freund offers a full range of non invasive procedures to complement Dr. Parker's surgical practice. "We are a great team, especially when it comes to facial rejuvenation. A facelift may not replace lost volume or smooth every line and I can help augment the surgical correction."
For younger patients who are not yet ready for surgery, Dr. Freund offers cheekbone enhancement, correction of the nasal labial folds and lip plumping with fillers. Botox is injected into overactive upper facial muscles to soften wrinkle lines in these areas. For tender areas, Dr. Freund has modified techniques perfected as a dentist to give injections inside the mouth for numbing purposes.
In every patient treatment, he feels strongly that an eye for aesthetics, understanding of facial anatomy, proper application and technique all allow Dr. Freund to provide natural-appearing, non-surgical facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Freund's philosophy is to offer the solution that best achieves each patient's goals. "I am here to serve patients from their point of view-not mine. Appearance goals, budget and lifestyle are all taken into account before we begin. This is an ongoing endeavor and I like to build each relationship slowly and well."
